In the early days, the club played at Junior status, winning the Eastern Divisional Cup, the Junior Cup and the Bodmin and District League Cup in 1909, a feat they repeated twelve months later. The club moved up to senior Status in 1910-11. After the First World War records were poorly kept, but two Senior Cup Finals were reached in the early thirties. Success at Senior level came in 1935-36 when the Senior Cup, Charity Cup and Herald Cup were won, the first side to win all three trophies in one season. The club has since won the Senior Cup on seven further occasions. The club became founder members of the South Western Football League in 1951, where they have played ever since. They have been the second most successful team in this competition winning the league title on six occasions and the league cup five times.
St. Blazey were the first Cornish club to transfer a professional player to a Football League club when Bob Swiggs joined Plymouth Argyle for £600. In recent years, Shaun Taylor currently captain of Swindon Town and most notably England International Nigel Martyn have progressed from club to League Football. St Blazey Football Club has won the South Western League 6 times in the last seven years. Losing out to Falmouth Town on goal difference 1999/00 season.
