Manager Notes

Penzance have already beaten us twice this season so it’s important we put a performance in Saturday. I was delighted with our performance last weekend at Elburton.
We played some of our best football of the season, but until we scored our second goal, we couldn’t afford to relax.
It was also nice to have Paul ‘smudger’ Smith (ex Launceston manager), compliment us on the way we played.

We also have the prospect of a Senior Cup Q/F against Illogan, who caused the shock of the round by beating Saltash. It was a good win for us at Perranporth where the support was excellent. It was also nice to catch up with a former Blazey favourite, Ian Gosling, who was magnanimous in defeat.

Talking of big games, can I take this opportunity to wish our Sunday team all the best in the Semi-Final of the County Cup on Sunday at Sticker - 10.30am KO.

The weather continues to play havoc with the fixture list. The season has already been extended a week and with anymore postponements we could see it extended again. Simon Tonkin has moved quickly to arrange mid-week games, starting at Bodmin next Wednesday. One thing is for sure, there will be plenty of football for all supporters.

Finally, I’m sure you’ll join me in congratulating Neil and Debbie (Burton) on the arrival of son Tyler John who joined us on Wednesday at 18.40, weighing a healthy 6lb 14 oz.

Enjoy the game and I hope you’ll enjoy the clubhouse afterwards.
